Derrick Milimo is an independent portrait and documentary photographer, as well as a licensed drone pilot, based in Nairobi, Kenya. His work centers on documenting social, environmental, and cultural issues in his home country, with a focus on authentic storytelling and visual advocacy.

Derrick's photography has been published by FOTEA, The Responsible Citizen Magazine, and Arbeit & Wirtschaft Magazin. In 2024, he was awarded the Single Planet Award at the Uganda Press Photo Awards (UPPA) for his outstanding work on environmental themes.

Beyond photography, Derrick is guided by his faith — convicted by the Holy Spirit to be a follower of Christ, which shapes both his worldview and creative practice.
